Charge too much to unclog bathroom bathtub drain. I have their insurance. 15% off. Charged over $300 to unclog drain with a power drain cleaner tool. Disappointed.may have to reconsider renewal of insurance.

If I could give a ZERO star for their COMMUNICATION I would. I have had no heat or AC since Friday Feb. 20. The tech told me that it would be Monday before they could get the part. OK. Been waiting and waiting for a call this Monday morning, since 8am as to the status. I finally called at 11:15am. Was told part is on factory backorder with NO ETA. Ok. I understand the backorder. The problem is THEY SHOULD HAVE CALLED ME. I needed to prepare one way or the other for freezing cold temps tonight and tomorrow night. Other than their communication I have been very happy with this company from them installing the new unit, maintenance/up keep service and to the service calls for problems. That I will give 5 stars.

I have been a loyal customer giving Fenwick my work for years, but Jennifer’s customer survive during an emergency was absolutely uncaring and unprofessional. I called to get someone scheduled since the pipes on a project we did busted during this cold snap. Jennifer says she’s really busy and can’t help me and then hangs up in my face… The level of disrespect I just received after giving a company my business for so long is utterly unacceptable. I will never give my business to anyone who has the audacity to treat such a loyal customer in such a shoved off way…… I’ve given this company probably hundreds of thousands in work, and when I need them for my own home on a project they screwed up, I get this????? I’m completely heartbroken to be honest and will never give them any more of my business…. All they care about is creating a bigger monopoly that they can’t manage. They don’t care about you

We have tried to reach someone in the billing department to talk about whether or not to keep the automatic renewal of their Yearly Maintenance Service. We have not received a call after 2 days of submitting a task to their answering service. Very disappointing with respect to their communication with customers. However, the first preventative service was done by a technician that was very professional and informative of what services were needed.

Real bad service. I was supposed to have a plumber install and an electrician place 2 GFB 1 in each bathroom. The only person that showed up was the installer and he did a great job! I waited till 7:30 at night no show no call. I called them no apology did not care at all. They said the next available time was two days from now. I told them to not do a thing till a manager called me the next day. No call at all. I am looking for an new company to do the electrical work now.

I had to have the coil replaced back in July of this year which cost me about $3400 and it froze up last week. A technician came out and could not find out why. Before I spend another $500 to have another company come out to see if it's the coil, unit or main line i have called Fenwick once a day for the last t business days asking for a manager call back and no one has called. Not very great CS to try and get this resolved.

Update to my.review! Terrible communication with the bank providing my loan for my repair. This company kept harrassing me daily. When on their end and the bank end they had some miscommunication for being paid. Everyday at 8 AM being woken up by a phone call or while at work. I had to repeat myself 3 to 4 times daily for them to understand it was on their end and the bank since I was approved for the loan repair. Even on my days off being woken up at 8 AM daily by a phone call by them. They need better internal management!! Then once they got it straightened it out and realized it was approved I never got an apology for being harassed by the company. Worst experience of my life with a shady business!! I have no words to express how satisfied I was with Rafael's service when he came out to me. He was very friendly and straightforward letting me know what was the problem and how much it was going to cost. He set my mind at ease when I was stressing out over the slab leak I had. He worked very fast and very efficiently and left the place very clean when he was finished. He was extremely outgoing and letting me know how the project was going so I knew what to expect. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone that's friendly straightforward and not pushy. It's hard to find a good plumber these days and Rafael in my opinion exceeded my expectations!!!!

Disgusting abuse of elderly customers. My parents have used this company for years so they thought they could trust them for a simple faucet repair. Instead the technician told them they needed to replace their kitchen faucet at a cost of almost $1000. He showed a high end example of a faucet sold on the Home Depot site and said that that was the going rate now. Your company should be ashamed of treating customers like this. You can be assured that we will be passing this along to friends and neighbors so they don’t get ripped off or taken advantage of.

This happened a year ago, but the feelings are still the same. We have since moved on to another local HVAC company. So, Fenwick, are you going to fix Waychoff's mess? On Oct 7, 2024, we had an appointment with Waychoff's to take a look at my HVAC system because the home was getting very humid, although the system was cooling the home. Jerald assessed that the blower motor was constantly on and needed to be replace. Fortunately the part was under warranty for the 3.5 year old Carrier unit that was installed by the original company Air McCall on Jan 2021. Unfortunately, the labor cost was $840, which was a rip off. When asked why the labor cost was so high, Jerald just played dumb and basically said "that's what the people in Pennsylvania just tell us". But after all, he's just a pawn in the whole corporate scam. My wife called the company and was asking for a breakdown on why the labor cost for 30-45 mins of labor was so high. A lot of vague answers with no clarity. And supposedly a service manager was suppose to call back, but we know that's not going to happen. Jerald also then started talking about how the blower motor under warranty was a $2800 part, which is also bogus. Like really? You can do better than that, Jerald. Needless to say, we hate that our original installer Air McCall was bought by some corporate machine and is now charging outrageous prices. Had it not been that we had family evacuating to our home that day because of Hurricane Milton, we would have spent the extra day or two looking for a much more competitive price. So, we're moving on from Waychoff's. Good riddance.

Avoid this company. They tried to charge me more than $800 plus the $89 fee just to replace a toilet handle and maybe a flapper. Anyone who knows basic plumbing knows that’s a $20–30 part and a quick, simple job. Their whole business seems built on showing up, pocketing the $89 “service fee,” and then quoting outrageous prices they know you’ll refuse. It’s a waste of time. Do yourself a favor: avoid this company.

We had 2 toilets which had the flush and fill valves replaced with parts we had already purchased. The tech verified we purchased the correct parts but a minor adjustment was still required. The tech was here about an hour. The cost was outrageously high and after three full business days we have stubbornly received an itemized receipt as promised.

This company and its workers are horrible. This morning, (6:45am) a truck from this company was traveling at 80 mph on Highway 295 and Old St. Augustine. Are these the kind of people we want around us when we're driving? Why don't they have GPS with speed limiters? If you're not honest while driving, you're not honest when you're doing your job!

Terrible Experience with this company - have been without AC for over 10 days, with two babies living in the home . A technician diagnosed the failed compressor and said parts would arrive in 2–3 days, yet there has been no clear update since. Despite calling multiple times, I never received a direct response or escalation to a supervisor. It feels like they never truly care about customer concerns — customer service is the worst I’ve experienced, with multiple layers to go through just to reach the right department. This lack of urgency and accountability is unacceptable, especially in extreme summer heat.

Fenwick used to be the number one choice for my plumbing repairs, but they have become greedy like everyone else. Had a toilet issue and the repairman from Fenwick said that it would be 383.00 to pull up the toilet and repair the "O" ring. He didn't want to do the job and you could see it from his demeanor. He then stated if I have to pull up the toilet I will break the toilet. He then stated, "Thank you Ma'am, it will be 89.00 for the call." Do not ever use Fenwick. They are now heating and air too and had the same problem with their greed when I had them look at an air conditioner. Buy a new outrageous system was their advice and had another company come out and look at it and repaired it right away. Had a handyman look at my toilet and he fixed the problem for only 105.00. Do not use Fenwick. Greedy and a waste of time.

We hired Fenwick Services / Waychoff’s AC to address an issue with our Daikin system. Over the course of a month, we paid $1,636.78 for two new dampers after their technician insisted that was the definitive fix. Not only did the repair fail to solve the problem, but our home actually got hotter — rising from 74–76° before service to 82–85° afterward. Multiple visits followed, but their own manager later admitted the damper replacement was ineffective and that a Daikin representative was required. Despite promising to schedule that visit, I discovered days later they hadn’t even contacted Daikin. Meanwhile, my family has been left in an unsafe situation with a 7-month-old baby in 85° heat. I am now forced to hire another HVAC company to properly diagnose and repair the system. I have requested a full refund of $1,636.78 and am preparing a formal complaint to file with state regulators. I cannot recommend this company due to misdiagnosis, ineffective repairs, and failure to follow through on their commitments.

Fenwick & Waychoff’s promised help but never showed for our appointment. Instead, they began spamming my cell with solicitation messages—even after I repeatedly asked to be removed from their list. When someone finally arrived, they were clearly untrained and unlicensed, and tried to convince me to let them tear into my wall for a “repair” that wasn’t needed. I stopped them, called a reputable plumber, and was told this type of scare tactic is common from this company. The other plumber fixed the issue quickly—without touching my wall. This business is unprofessional, unreliable, and misleading. I cannot recommend them under any circumstances.

Appointment was for between the hours of 12-3. I also asked if that meant it would be COMPLETED DURING THAT TIME. The person on the phone said the service should not take more than 30 minutes outside that window. Tech showed up at 2:45. Tech sat in his vehicle for 10 minutes. Tech finally does his job and rings the doorbell at 2:55. The service takes until 3:58 Tech goes to his van and sits on his phone for 24 minutes before finally coming back with paperwork. We have been customers of Waychoff’s since 2017. We signed up for their routine maintenance and purchased every extra filter or accessory (light, tstat) they recommended. When our AC had to be replaced in 2020 we installed the unit they recommended. When our new unit was around three years old, we started having problems. We have been completely without AC 4 times before today’s break down. Each breakdown took days to resolve (the worst was 5days) because they don’t carry the parts for the unit they installed. We stuck with them because the unit was under warranty but started wondering about their abilities after the second breakdown. This current breakdown is the third in 4 months! When the tech arrived today, before even looking at the unit he started out by telling us it was out of warranty (they just replaced parts 5 weeks ago) and that the design of our system is problematic (we’ve never been told this). Since we always get a different tech, we felt he may not be aware of all of the prior issues so we started explaining and questioning what the problem could be this time and if they could fix it. He became frustrated quickly and told us it would be better if we called someone else. Reflecting on his visit now, I think he showed up expecting a confrontation and was prepared to argue with us about anything being covered under warranty. We also wonder if they are frustrated because they can’t fix our AC and wiling to lose a customer rather than make it right at this point. So now, we have a new company coming this afternoon. Praying they are more qualified.

I’ve been using them for over 10 years with no problems. Never felt ripped off. I had them come to replace a faulty cartridge in my sink faucet and they tried to charge me $900!!! They said because I have a “nice” faucet that it required a specialty cartridge. The manufacturer website specifically states it uses a standard cartridge that can be bought at Home Depot for $10. So after watching their 3 minute video on how to do it yourself and with a standard Home Depot cartridge. I fixed it myself for $10 and 5 minutes of my time. Now that they’re corporately owned they will astronomically rip you off when they get a chance.

I had a terrible experience with Fenwick. An employee from Fenwick (I will not put his name out there) came out to quickly diagnose the entire HVAC needed replacing. The capacitor, the motor to my fans, the defrost board, etc. The entire time making notes of any blemishes in the system saying “the box around the capacitor destroyed it due to conduction” and “the burn marks”, to then serve me my only two options: 1. Replace the parts noted above for $2700, or 2. Get a new system and I can finance. I declined as this seemed very predatory and fear-mongering, to which he immediately did the following: 1. removed “non-essentials”, 2. added coupons, and 3. let me use HIS military discount, all of which got the price down to $1700. I persisted and said I will need to get a second opinion on the HVAC before doing anything, to which he said he “knew a guy” that could stop by after hours and do the exact same quality of work for $1200. I declined again. After all of this, I was charged $89, to which he “graciously” didnt add on the additional $89 that they meant to charge me. How kind. Within 24 hours, I had a family friend take a look, and quickly identify that the capacitor is bad. Within 30 minutes we put a new capacitor in the condenser and the system is working. I understand Fenwick has a “fixed rate” to which they will eat any costs if the price goes above initially expected; however, a capacitor costs $30 at Ace Hardware. Instead of carefully checking each part to identify what can be salvaged and what needs replacing, he decided to try and charge me a blanket 100x fee over the cost of a capacitor which is absurd. To drop the price over $1000 when I gave simple pushback is absolutely absurd as well. This was my first experience with Fenwick - Never again. Do better.

Called and asked for a quote on phone, was refused, and said someone had to come out Forced to pay $89 to have someone quote me over $1000 to install a dishwasher $551 (in case you need a quote) - and that was "discounted for me" down from $750, replace a bathtub overflow plate -over $300 (in case you need that quote) and snake a drain over $250 (in case you need that quote), which the stopper was pulled and was left out and not replaced. I paid the ransom fee and sent them away. Handyman is coming to do dishwasher tomorrow for $300. I snaked my own drain with one of those $10 spikey zips from.Home Depot 5 minutes after he left, and another plumber is doing the overflow plate for half of what was quoted for that repair tomorrow as well. What a shame. Longtime customer. Won't return. It cost me $89 to learn that this company went from being my go-to over the years, to crooks.

We were taken advantage of from a Jacksonville company when we needed help. DO NOT use this company for any plumbing, cooling or heating needs even if it’s an emergency. Please read the following: We called FENWICK for assistance with our HVAC. During a recent cold snap our HVAC system froze and required immediate attention. A technician arrived and said he couldn’t work on the system until it was defrosted. If it wasn’t frosted that night, he wasn’t sure when he or any other associate could return. He said it would cost $188.00 to defrost the system. For over an hour the associate and I, in freezing temperatures, late in the evening, using hot water from our bathroom tub and our buckets, defrosted the unit. He diagnosed the problem and said we needed a Heat Pump Defroster Sensor. (part number: HH18HA279). The part had to be ordered and would take 5 to 7 days and the part would cost $441.00. Installation could take another 5 to 7 days. FENWICK charged us $89.00 for the service visit and $188.00 to defrost the unit. The part was installed about a week later. While waiting for the part I went to their web site and found that 3 coupons were available but were not offered. We asked the technician why he didn’t offer the coupons to which he replied “that’s up to you”. I took a photo of the part number and found that the part was sold by FACTORY AUTHORIZED PARTS. I found the part on-line for $31.00 and that it was available from Amazon and could be delivered free the next day. The final cost was $490.00 for the installation of a $31.00 part. After questioning the cost, FENWICK offered to waive the $89.00 service fee and offered to honor the coupons we found on-line from their web site. Our final cost was $530.00 ($342.00 plus $188.00) for the service call. Caveat Emptor!

Crooks… first off did a gas line extension which had a leak. On 3 occasions they could not find the leak and my wife bought a simple sniffer and found it… when they finally sent someone with the right tools and experience he quickly was able to fix it. That could’ve been disastrous. Called them for a quote to replace about 20 feet of drain pipe. They quoted $12,000 for what was a $2000 job with everybody else

Four years I used Bill Fenwick Plumbing and was always satisfied. The company sold and everything has changed. The technician that perform the job started out by telling me it was gonna cost between $4000 and $5000. if I wasn’t savy enough to negotiate he would’ve charge me $5000. It was like I was buying a used car. We ended up settling at $2500 and I still paid way too much. Adding insult to injury Fenwick tore the wall out to repair the plumbing and left it as is. I had to hire an additional contractor and spent $563 more dollars to repair the wall drywall and paint. Dealing with Bill Fenwick Plumbing is like buying a used car. They to rip you off for his much as possible. I was OK paying $160 per hour and $150 just to show up but that wasn’t good enough for them anymore. I have a handful of other friends that used to use Fenwick and they never will again as well. I now use Turner plumbing. Turner plumbing does great work and charges $80 per half an hour. Again I was a Bill Fenwick customer for many years. Bill Fenwick was a good man. The people who purchased the company not so much. Mark Fontaine

The plumber from Fenwick found what was wrong with my heater, it was plugged out. He plugged it back in. Took him about a minute. He was great. Then I got a $232 bill. Even the plumber apologized to me for the price and said he was just doing what he was told (all controlled by his Ipad). Upon Calling Fenwick I got a supervisor (Todd - I believe) who told me the plumber did not do a 3-5 minute stop, because I paid for the gas for the truck to come out, I also paid for their honesty, I paid for their reputation, and the knowledge of a licensed plumber who realized that the heater was not plugged in. Again, even the plumber who came out, who was wonderful, apologized to me for the pricing as there was nothing he could do. He even said that they have fought this pricing method because many of the plumbers who work for Fenwick found it unfair. Having the supervisor justify a $232 bill and only try to reduce it when he realized I wasn't an idiot, was more insulting than the bill itself. I guess we have to pay for honesty now. It's no longer just expected. I guess gas must have also increased tremendously since I last checked. This is gouging. Plain and simple. I am appalled that this is their business practice.

Technician was on time and completed work as soon as he could locate plumbing parts to do the job. We reviewed the needed parts to fix the toilet flush and fill systems. Based on our discussion, he quoted an estimate of approximately $300 to do the job and I approve to go ahead. After he finished the job, I was presented with a bill for $544 less credits for Sr and repair special. Net amount due was $430 which is over 40% more than his quote. Post install update: Unfortunately, I need to update my previous positive review. Shortly after the initial installation of my AC, I experienced severe flooding in my home. After tearing down walls and floors to investigate, it became clear that the AC installation was the cause of the flooding. Despite numerous attempts to contact the company, I have been met with silence and a lack of accountability. The flooding wasn’t the only issue. I also had to call them because the insulation in the AC closet fell down, proving the unit was not secured properly during installation. To make matters worse, after just finishing my last payment for the AC unit (3 months) I’ve now been hit with unexpected costs to replace cabinetry in my kitchen, floors throughout my entire entry, which has been unusable for three months due to the damage. I am now financially upside down from these repairs, Fenwick has not answered my calls to management nor have they reached out or offered any assistance or resolution. While a service person (Christian) was eventually sent by Jesse a manager of sorts sent him, it was far too late, and no support has been provided to address the significant financial burden and stress this situation has caused. I strongly urge the Fenwick to take responsibility and reach out to resolve this matter. —————————- We first hired Fenwick to come for a tuneup to discover which we were not surprised that we are in need of a replacement AC unit which Christian immediately was able to find Tony to stop by the end of his route and give us support which I can say is very fair. A new unit is an investment and with really great service. Both of them made me feel very comfortable and I look forward to working with them again in the future to install a new system .

The technician was great and explained a variety of things that may be causing the issue with my AC unit, but ultimately it’s two days later and my upstairs unit is still not cooling down the bedroom and loft. The thermostat showed 99 degrees when he first arrived and after paying more than $600 to correct the issue it’s still almost 80 degrees upstairs 2 days later. Not satisfied with the results so I’m hopeful they will correct the issue timely.

These people DESTROYED my home. NEVER USE THEM. 7 return visits to "fix" issues and I was left with a vanity not secured to the wall, busted tile backsplash. Did not tie in faucets and shower heads. They just jiggle around. Destroyed tile in shower. Dragged a running power saw across my bathroom floor, so linoleum needs replacing. In other words, I paid thousands of dollars to need thousands more work done. I called every owner and manager and their best repair work is not fit for a tenement. Two and a half months of letting them TRY to fix it, and I gave up because I couldn't miss work, anymore. Or take the run around. This business is the WORST.
