We purchased a unit from Fenwick back in 2024 with promises of stellar service. The installation went extremely poorly. One of their technicians brought his phone into my attic and dropped it down the wall in my bathroom. I stepped out to go visit my husband's grandmother in hospice and came back to find a square hole cut out of my bathroom wall. Without my consent or even notifying me via phone, they decided to cut an entire piece out of the wall of my bathroom. They also without my consent ripped the frame off of my bathroom door to access some cords. They had my phone number at all times and could have reached out. I learned later that the supervisor was not on site for the entire installation and only checked in once or twice. I may have been able to forgive all of that and take it as a lesson learned because the unit that was installed worked very well. However, after that, all attempts to collect on promises that were made went ignored. We were promised two filters after installation and never received them. I reached out to the manager and he ignored my messages. I decided it was not worth the headache so I did not push it further. Yesterday, our unit started having errors causing it not to run properly. It is one of the hottest weeks so far this summer so you can imagine it was quite uncomfortable. Around 7:30 I reached out to Fenwick based on their promise and advertisement for 24/7 emergency service. I was told that they closed their dispatch and would not be able to help me. I was infuriated because I was sold on 24/7 emergency service and apparently that was a lie. I went to their website and see that they also advertise 24/7 emergency service with a picture of an AC unit with smoke coming out of it. Any person of average intelligence would take this to mean than if your air conditioner goes out they will come out and service you 24/7. I got a call back from a supervisor this morning who was very curt with me even though my frustrations are completely valid and informed me that the 24/7 emergency service only means that a customer service representative will answer your phone call. Mind you, these customer service reps have no information or expertise on any HVAC or plumbing products. They only answer the phone and basically take a message. Before making a decision on purchasing a unit from this company, please ask the questions I did not. There were several other offers that were more expensive but offered better service and I will definitely not be recommending anyone purchase a unit with Fenwick in the future. The one positive I can offer is their technicians, Christian and Dylan are respectful, knowledgeable and extremely easy to work with.

UPDATE: they lied in their response. They never made any attempt to contact me or reach out in any way.

Remove and install new bathroom vent box.
Technician came out and after asking if the vent had been attached to the vent box was told that indeed he had done so. Went in the attic to check and IT WAS NOT ATTACHED! Newly blown insulation was also completely disrupted! No care given! Mgr stated the boxes were different sizes meant for new construction homes only; tech put the vent box in and said it fit perfectly without having to use the bracket it came with. Don’t know what that has to do with the vent hose NOT being attached to the box as the 2nd tech sent out did attach it! Hate to see what work was done in other homes that this 1st tech that came out did to ours! People should be very leary of this company! The vent would’ve blown the air directly into the attic instead of out of the home! Check your new hires Fenwick!

This company has been repeatedly and illegally blowing up my phone for months. I guess they've never heard of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, so I'm happy to educate them. I have spoken to the same guy with a very thick Spanish accent on the customer service side every single time to tell him I am not, and never have been a customer, and to stop contacting me. He confirmed every time I have called he would remove my information, and I am still getting repeatedly spammed via text and voicemails. I wasn't even the owner of the home they are spamming me about, and I know for a fact the should have the owner's info on file, because we couldn't even have them come out to our house we were renting the one time they did without them personally speaking with the owner because the owner is the actual customer. The poor owners probably haven't getting the communication, and that is 100% on Fenwick. I sarcastically asked if I needed to physically come in, and the the idiot guy on the phone just said, "Maybe I can get you a 'manager', or you can come in." I think I'll just report the ILLEGAL SPAM and not be bothered if they can't be.

This is how fenwick left my ac unit after paying over 1700 for service this company is a scam I called to have a tech come back out since the work was done today and the dispatcher said they would have someone back out between 6-10 the dispatchers name was Jennifer or something but she was very short and rude and didn’t want to even resolve my issue find a new dispatcher because I truly believe she messed up on purpose it is now 9:56 and no tech has shown so I called the number to get an update the very nice gentleman Edward on the customer service line had to unfortunately tell me that the tech went home at 8 pm and was not sent to my home so no one would be coming out tonight. This is disappointing and I will NEVER ever recommend this place to anyone ever this place can’t be serious about leaving exposed wires and calling this a professional install it looks like a kid fresh out of HVAC school tries to do this job 1700 dollars later and this is what is left with for my ac please make go to another provider and save ur time money and actually get a tech to come out to the house when they say they will even Comcast shows up during their window times but not this company

We purchased a brand-new indoor and outdoor HVAC system from Waychoff four years ago, and unfortunately, it has been one issue after another ever since.

Since the system was installed, I haven’t been able to simply schedule a routine maintenance appointment because we’re constantly dealing with repairs. Every 3–5 months, another issue comes up. Over the years, multiple parts have had to be replaced, and some of those same parts have been replaced two or three times.

Since May, I’ve repeatedly requested to speak with a manager regarding the ongoing history of service calls and recurring problems. Despite those requests, no one has ever called me back. The last representative I spoke with even told me, “I sit right next to management, and they’re in the office today. One of them will call you back.” That call never came.

It’s incredibly disappointing. I used to recommend Waychoff to everyone I knew, but after years of recurring problems and a complete lack of follow-up from management, I can no longer do that.

Called fenwick regarding the warranty of the kitchen sink faucet repair job that was done 7 months ago . I was told they I have 1 year warranty for parts that they installed. The technician who came just looked at the faucet and just said I need a new faucet without even really doing anything. The technician wanted to sell me a new faucet that is in his truck for over $700.00. More on sales than service.

Response from owner

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration regarding the warranty concern and the recommendation you received. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and apologize that the visit left you feeling pressured rather than supported. A manager will be reaching out to you directly to discuss the situation further.

I called in for an appointment because I needed to repair a toilet. Technician came out and took a look and left for about 5 minutes and came back to show some options for repair. The pricing was really high so I decided to wait and just pay the service dispatch fee. The Technician then tells me it will be $99. I was told the dispatch fee was only $89 by two agents when I called to make my appointment. But the Technician said the price went up a day or two ago. Mind you, I made the appointment the same week so was totally shocked that no one told me the price went up and they had many chances while reminding me of my appointment that the price would go from $89 to $99. Just seems like a scam for them to come and take a look without doing any work expect to say yes it's broken and then not even mentioning the price change. Seems to me a bit unethical to change without prior notice.

Response from owner

We are disappointed to hear about the pricing confusion. This should have been communicated clearly. Please call (904) 490-7003 to resolve this matter.

$304 to replace a $7 flapper in each of two toilets for two senior citizens. How can you people look at yourselves in a mirror.

TL;DR: Paid $307 for a quick water softener check that didn’t include everything I asked for, and was quoted $330 to replace a “broken” faucet that just needed a bolt tightened. When my family moved to Jacksonville, we bought a house that already had a water softener. We’d never lived anywhere that needed one before, but pretty quickly learned they’re common here and in a lot of Florida, basically a must. I’m not a home improvement expert by any means, but I can handle most small stuff, and if not, there’s always YouTube. I knew nothing about water softeners though, and every video I watched seemed to say something different. The previous owner had left the receipt and warranty info from Fenwick Plumbing, who installed the system in late 2024, so I figured I’d just call them. I reached out to have someone come take a look, make sure everything was good, clean the brine tank, and just walk me through how it all worked. The phone rep quoted me $89 for a service fee, which I was fine with. When the technician showed up, he said he was actually the one who installed it before, which I thought was a good sign. He pointed out some salt residue on the outside of one of the tanks and said he wanted to check for leaks. Fair enough. He also said he’d test the water and show me how to use the system. I mentioned I wanted the brine tank cleaned since there was buildup, and also showed him a runoff hose outside that had broken and was letting water pool near the foundation. He said he wouldn’t replace the hose but would cut me the right length so I could fix it myself. That seemed easy enough, so I agreed. For everything, he quoted $307. He was there maybe 20 to 30 minutes total, said the water tested fine, showed me how to use the softener, dumped in two bags of salt I already had sitting there, and cut about 6 feet of ½” tubing. While he was there, he also pointed out that my kitchen faucet was leaking under the sink. It hadn’t been going on long, there was just a little water built up. He told me the faucet was bad and needed to be replaced, and said he’d send over a quote if I wanted them to install one I provided. I already know how to replace a faucet, but I said yes just to see what they’d come back with. Here’s where I have an issue. I’m not even mad about the $307. I agreed to it, and in hindsight I probably should’ve just figured it out myself. Water softeners seemed intimidating at first, so lesson learned. What does bother me is that the brine tank was never cleaned, even though I specifically asked for it and considering what was actually done, figured that would have been the least they could have done. And the bigger issue, my “broken faucet” just needed a bolt tightened on the sprayer handle. Took me less than a minute, including grabbing pliers. Their quote to replace the faucet I was supposed to supply? $330. I’m just putting this out there so other people are aware. In my experience, they made things sound a lot more serious and urgent than they actually were, to the point of quoting over $330 for a full faucet replacement when it was a one-minute fix.

We had Waychoff / Fenwick out because our ac wasn’t keeping up and we noticed a burning smell in the breaker box. Their technician arrived flipped the switch to the a/c breaker and said the compressor went out. He quoted us $3500 to replace just the compressor. Then of course he says we just need to replace the entire system. The cheapest system was $10,000. I immediately had a second opinion come out from World’s Greatest A/C. I explained to him the situation, the burning smell, etc. he immediately pulled the face off of the breaker box, removed the a/c breaker, and immediately noticed that the wires had burned. After replacing the breakers, we turned the AC back on and was it cooling perfectly. Thank you Waychoff for trying to sell me on a $10-$20k that would have not even worked after being installed and my current unit was functioning properly. Waychoff / Fenwick are nothing but money hungry crooks!

Response from owner

We take your feedback seriously. This misdiagnosis is unacceptable. Please contact us at (904) 490-7003 to discuss this situation immediately.
